Broadband has been a game-changer in empowering me as a female is so many ways and there is no better time to reflect on this than on International Women’s Day. Looking at my career through the years, I have studied a post-graduate degree entirely online during the infamous Covid 19 lockdown that took us all off guard. I have worked 2 jobs from 2 different continents in the world but also worked for a company in Dublin while being entirely based in Kerry. It is safe to say, I would not have the qualifications I have or the career experience without a fast and efficient broadband service and it is not something I take for granted.
I started working for Ivertec as a Marketing Manager in my mid-thirties, at a time when my life was already filled with numerous family and community commitments. Balancing these responsibilities while striving to advance in my career felt overwhelming at times. However, Ivertec’s commitment to delivering high speed broadband to rural areas has been a key enabler in my ability to give my absolute utmost to my role and to continue developing as an empowered female also.
Ivertec provides reliable, high-speed connectivity, and this ensures that I can work seamlessly from home, connecting with my team and clients no matter where I am. This connection allows me to be fully present in my professional role, while also staying engaged with my family and community obligations. The flexibility in my work hours and location has empowered me to perform at my best, ensuring I can thrive both professionally and personally. With Ivertec’s support, I’ve found a way to balance my passions and commitments, giving me the opportunity to contribute meaningfully at work without compromising my personal life. So, on International Women’s Day this year I am proud to work for a company that fosters my development professionally and personally as a female by offering flexibility.
